Heather Donaldson has been a photographer for 10 years, focusing on people
pictures. She works with her sister, Elisabeth Donaldson, a published make-up
artist and professional stylist, to create the perfect look for each client. Heather
shoots digitally in a private natural light setting to get the perfect shot She believes it
is important to let the subject be and has a knack for capturing just the right moment
You won't be disappointed!
What to Wear
Your looks should reflect your casting. We suggest that you consult with your
agent. Are you a businesman/woman, young mom, hollywood hipster, edgy action
hero, etc...? Discover your characters and create your looks based on them.
Remember, a headshot is about your face, so be sure to stay away from busy
patterns. Loud colors can be ok for commercial looks.
How Many Pictures are in a Look?
A look consist of 50-100 digital images.
Should I Wear Make-up to the Shoot?
Please come to the shoot with a clean face and dry hair. Elisabeth will take of you
from there. We have all the fixings for your beautifying needs. If there is a specific
product or appliance you can't live without, bring it!
How Long Is the Wait?
We are currently booking two weeks in advance. But will fill cancellations with
future clients.
Is There a Deposit?
All photoshoots must be paid for one week in advance. There is a $50 rescheduling
fee and a $100 cancellation fee.
Will You Reshoot?
Reshoots are considered for technical reasons only.
What Happens After the Shoot?
A disc of your photoshoot will be given to Argentum Photo Lab
(www.argentum.com)for online processing. You will be contacted by them via
email and will be given a session code for your online proofsheets. You will be able
to select favorites, share them with friends and agents, print 4 x 6's, 8 x 10's, order
digital images, retouching and reproductions all from the comfort of your own
home. They provide excellent service in a friendly atmosphere and are a great
resource for actor's. Feel free to ask them any questions you have regarding
printing, retouching and reproductions. I suggest that you share your pictures with
your agent(s) and any other industry people you trust. Get several objective
opinions before making your selection.
What About Lithos?
Lithos are less costly and slightly less quality than photo reproductions. If you
would like to use this option I suggest Isgo Photo (www.isgophto.com). Simply
take your digital file to Isgo Photo or design and order your headshot on the internet.
